Production Process – Where the Journey Begins

In short, it’s all about temperature, quality, and time – as simple as that, yet also so complex. The method of vacuum distillation, patented in the early 20th century, gently removes alcohol from the wine while preserving its aromas as much as possible, forming the basis of our high quality. This process brings alcohol-free wines closer to conventional wines as we know them than any other method.For this process, the wine is placed under a vacuum. Under the influence of the vacuum, the boiling point of the alcohol drops to around 29°C (84°F). This allows the wine to be de-alcoholized through gentle heating without losing its important natural aromas. This is one of the most remarkable features of every ZERO product and a guarantee of enjoyable alcohol-free wine.

Does the product still contain traces of alcohol?

Minimal amounts; yes — however, these have no physiological effect. We are below 0.1% vol, which is significantly lower than the average alcohol content naturally present in fruit juices (bottling tolerance up to max. 0.38% vol | mandatory labeling required from 1.2% vol).

May I drink EINS-ZWEI-ZERO products during pregnancy?

Due to the very low alcohol content, moderate consumption appears to be harmless; however, you should ultimately consult your attending physician.

Where does the name EINS-ZWEI-ZERO come from?

The name comes from our “real” entry-level Riesling – the EINS-ZWEI-DRY, a very modern, dry Rheingau Riesling that has many fans worldwide. It was therefore easy for us to find a suitable name for its alcohol-free “nephew.”

Gentle hills, secluded valleys, ideal climate, and the modern management of our vineyards – these are the foundations of the high-quality grapes we use for the base wines of our alcohol-free products. We work from the vine all the way to the filled bottle, using these base wines to create the foundation of a modern alcohol-free wine.We produce the base wines for our alcohol-free products with the same care as we do for our estate wines, and we are delighted that these qualities integrate perfectly into our range. The origin of our grapes is thus the source of our ZERO family – the origin of a new alcohol-free lifestyle.
